Mail order oil...that kinds sucks.

I`m using Valvoline VR1 20W50 right now and my car really seems to love it. As a matter of fact,I`m getting ready to get out and run some errands and I`ll probably pick up a few quarts to have on hand for my next up and coming oci.

My application would be for a BBC Jet Boat that's under extreme engine loads all the time.
VR1 is good oil but their 20/50 didn't fare so well in my Jet Boat under constant engine loads. My research shows for a flat tappet cam engine like mine and how it's used, every little bit more of Zinc and phosphorous is a plus.
In fact, Brad Penn is the well respected old green Kendall formula

Now...Valvoline's "off road"-racing oil has the good stuff but it's only ment to be run for 500 miles then dumped.

VR1...
zinc 1300 PPM
phosphorus 1200 ppm

Brad Penn...
zinc 1500 ppm
phosphorus 1400 ppm

Would every little bit extra count in a heavy load, high rpm flat tappet cam engine?
