I finally got around to replacing my tie rod and drag link ends on my Jeep. The Moog adjusting sleeves came with (IMO) sub par fasteners. The bolts are 10.9 grade, but the nuts are those oval shaped lock nuts. (I had to google what they were technically called.)

I understand they are a one time deal sort of thing and since I have unbolted and bolted them up repeatedly as well as unbolted them again so I could add washers, I worry their integrity is worn off. They still appear to be doing the job though.

Would I be better off getting a plain old hex nut and adding a lock washer?

Thanks
