Its expensive but you can look into something like SIDIO crates. I used sidio crates for my garage organization my tool storage my travel tool kit, my hobby stuff and my house organization in general/

Personal stash. I really don't carry much as the warehouse has it the next day. But local , pretty much sell at my cost!
Sold the two racks. $50! Area clearing.
I hear ya! Sounds like my garage, I swear someday, someday, it will look normal.
RIght now in this new home I am getting close to ordered to of those commercial storage racks sold at Costco and Sams Club, it will solve a lot of issues.
I can line the back wall of the garage with 2 of these units. We dont have useable attics here, nor basements.

Actually only recently we were able to pull my wife's car in. The threat of hail from our famous Southeast thunderstorms was the driving motivation)

I didnt notice the new racks!!!! Also at the time I was only looking at the OP but still missed the new racks in the before and after.
Technically I had the racks before but in the worst possible utilization awful- stacked with junk

After shots. Wife says hardly recognizable. Still tons to do. But I got started! Then it snowballed. Everything is more or less segregated which is a key to starting. Then arranging, then locating, then further segregating with said area. I will drop 120V
