Life got really crazy last fall and my fiberglass, in-ground, 14,000 gallon pool was totally neglected. The calcium has been building for a while. I'm going to drain the pool completely and start over (yes, it's gotten so bad a family of frogs have moved in) and would like to remove the calcium deposits before refilling the pool. It needs to be as simple as possible, if such a process exists, as the pool can't sit empty very long in case it rains. Don't want it popping out of the ground.
I have a 3600psi pressure washer and a power broom attachment for my string trimmer. I can't count on any of the kids coming to help, so it will be my wife and I doing the work. She's retired. but I'm not, so my available time to do this will mostly be over a weekend, and I don't have the stamina I did even a few years ago. I can tell you, the pressure washer alone with a 40 degree nozzle does nothing to the calcium except make it wet for a few minutes. Thanks.
