I've always ran rotella or delo 15w-40 or syn 5w-40 in our commercial mowers. I've been reading a lot on the new diesel oils having to meet new standards etc and that some oils aren't rated for gas and diesel anymore. It has me kinda confused because I don't know a lot about all this. So does that mean I cant run some oils in my commercial mowers with gas engines once the new oil comes out?

According to some recent VOA's Rotella CK-4 dropped the SN gasoline rating and the specs have stayed more or less the same as the CJ-4
version, so for now still a good choice for OPE. (At least the 15w-40 and 10w-30 wt.) There is also Rotella straight 30wt.

However, other brands that retained the SN rating Zn and P levels are way down and I'd avoid them.

Different direction 10w40 Amsoil ASF small engine oil is purpose built for commercial hard working small engines. I'd run full mfg oil interval and run UOA I think you would be happy with it .

It seems as a lot of people don't consider the substitute anti-wear additive that replaces Zn and P.
