So on my 2006 Accord Ive noticed for a while now that on the drivers rear door panel the top section looks as if it is hazy, paint is still smooth to the touch but your reflection in it is "blurry" when compared to other sections of the cars paint. What can I do to keep it from getting any worse?

Damage repair with repaint not to factory standards?
If the clear really is getting hazier, it's also getting ready to start coming off.
If it's been that way since you bought the car and isn't getting any worse, you probably don't need to worry, since it's probably been that way since it was gunned on.
Only if the condition is getting worse is there cause for concern.
AFAIK, the only cure is a strip and respray.

Well I have had the car for almost 2 years now, and I just started noticing it. It could have been there before idk. I keep her washed and spray waxed Im just hoping its not failing because I dont have the $$ to get it repainted.

Have you tried polishing it?

Also spray waxes aren't a substitute for real waxes. They're a supplement to it.

Honda paints are very soft and more susceptible to peeling if neglected. I know of several friends who all bought Hondas in college around the 2002-2004 times. All peeling because it was never waxed and faced 7 day a week exposure to the intense Southern California sun.

I'd apply some Meguiars Ultimate Compound on it. That should clear it up. Then apply a durable wax to it. If it sits out in the Florida sun it needs to be well protected. Even then it maybe a losing battle. There's only so much exposure the paint can tolerate before it starts to fade.

I'm in the camp of satinsilver.......perhaps it's not failing clearcoat but just a hazy finish. Give it a go to try and clear it up.
