+1 0w-30 is a 30 weight PERIOD. Mobil even goes as far on their 0w-30 AFE to make it very clear that it EXCEEDS requirements for specs calling for 5w-30.

Does that include NOACK? Are the 0w-30 as resistant to sheering? It looks like Wally World sells 5w-30 and 0w-30 for the same price. Why manufacture and sell both?

NOACK is covered under the API spec.- SM, SN, etc. The manufacturer is covering all bases. Some people won't buy anything but what the manual says.

And it's still a marketing flop that sells for $2/qt at autozone every Christmastime.

Some cars are not back spec'd and ask for 5w30 and I havent seen a 0w30 non synthetic oil. Thus 5w30 dino and syn.

Which cars that specify a 5W-30 prohibit using a 0W-30?
