Has anyone here used a mono grade like SAE 30 or 40 in a modern vehicle? Thought a while back a member did a test using SAE 30 oil in a modern day car or vehicle.

I posted I have several times. I bought out a store, and obtained over 100 SAE 30 wt. and SAE 40 wt. quarts, mostly Pennzoil. I ran them in my 2004 Chevy 5.3, daughters 2000 Chevy 5.3, and Dads 1997 c1500 4.3 V6. I used the 40's in the summer and 30's in the winter. The trucks never, ever, noticed a thing. Oil pressure stayed perfect and the whole experience was perfect. All still running with 200K, 250K, and 275K miles.
