Our family spent this afternoon celebrating Canada Day at Point Pelee National Park.

Point Pelee Park is the southernmost area in Canada. It is on the 42nd Parallel in Southern Ontario projecting out into Lake Erie north of Cleveland. We are level with the northern boundary of California.

I'm posting a few pics of The Point and Lake Erie, also the 42nd marker. Enjoy.

Happy Canada Day!

That is beautiful!
My parents were up near Lake Superior Provincial Park just recently. Canada is a beautiful land!

I was listening to a you tube live video hang out and the guy on camera is in Montreal and said that the Canadian Air Force Snowbirds are doing a show there today.

I grew up in Port Clinton which is on Lake Erie. My dad took the family into the cooler Canadian waters for steelhead fishing.

We probably met in Put-In-Bay.

Many times I didn't remember going to Put-In-Bay or being in Put-In-Bay.. just waking up in Put-In-Bay.

Some things I like about Canada:

The national anthem, very stirring. I like the flag, too.

That nutty, self-effacing sense of humor.

The general integrity and sense of fair-play.

I really liked Expo 67 (in Montreal) as a child.

My father was a big fan of Terry Fox.

Happy Canada Day
