Had to Replace a Tire.

Have a Question .

Purchased a set of 4 cooper evolution HT tires for my wife's 2014 caravan less then 5000K ago long story short had to replace one due to a nail though the side wall. The tire dealer put it under warranty front drivers side . But the tech said tires should be replaced in pairs .. with them having less then 5000k I am think I am fine ? Or was he trying to sell another tire lol

You only need to replace the damaged tire.

Less than 5000k? That's a pretty big mileage (or kilometerage?) window, if you're anywhere near that surely you'll want to replace all four!

measure the new tread and the old tread and see what the difference is , if any. with 5k on new tire, unless that caravan was driven by a race car driver, i doubt it wore 1/16 off

Move the 2 rears to the front and put the single new tire on the rear til they wear down. But with 5k the tread is new enough it won't even matter.

Depending on how expensive they are lol. Our tire dealer here in town gives credit for used tires I would take advantage.

Just an update. I ened up having them replace the other tire under warranty I made them eat there words about having them installed in pairs LOL then had it all re alinged seems to be OK. The alignment shop said they must have a batch of bad tires because he aligned it to speck and it had a bit of a pull still with the new tires. He tweeked it and drives stright.
