@nthach came by to clean his engine bay. We soaked the engine bay with Purple Power 1:1 and Brown Royal, then pressure washed it and the rest of the car. Since the rest of the car was dirty, we foamed the car with Meguiar’s Hyper Wash and did a quick wash. Optimum Ferrex was used to remove most of the rust spots. This was followed up with CarPro Immolube and Meguiar’s C2100 Red Clay (Aggressive). Although the car needs polishing, he uses automatic car washes periodically so the paint just needs protection.

We wiped down the paint with Optimum Paint Prep and applied Gyeon CanCoat. Between the prep and Gyeon CanCoat, the chalky paint now has some gloss. Tires sidewalls were soaked in CarPro Perl 1:1 for 30 min, then redressed a second time.

For tires I've switched from PERL to Gyeon Q2 Tire and think I'm going to stick with it. The Gyeon seems to be kind of a sweet spot between the look of PERL and the durability of Tuff Shine Tire Clear Coat which hung on forever but had a big flaw of abrading off the sidewall when it flexed for bumps.

I think Can Coat is the best WOWO sealant/coating I have used.
So far, it’s holding up to urban assault quite well. And it beads water better than the usual(Griot’s 3-in-1) wax I use. My plan is use a “topper” HCW like Meguiar’s or Griot’s at every wash to keep the coating “fresh”.
