I don't quite get the 'I did something questionable and probably really stupid so now I'm telling the world about it' thinking.... Maybe try and monetize his story? Quite a stretch, but not as much of a stretch and buying scrap aluminum and rubber.

Interesting, Graceland keeps N777EP as an active registration.

Reading this thread where everything stinks (auctions in general, the bidding record....the lot...) and considering the clown character of the guy, I gotta wonder if the story is true at all.
This joker could've easily just walked through some junk jet making all his stupid sounding, "gee-wiz" commentary, no?

Maybe the video was a planned lesson for a business class; as in, "Don't do this, kids".

Ha, I think we've been scammed!

Gotta love how the video uses Beatles music.

So, if "Lisa Marie" is alive and well and parked in Memphis, what's the red, white and rusted hunka garbage in Roswell?

Wikipedia says that N777EP is the second JetStar that Elvis owned. But this one was supposedly bought just 9 months before he died.

Elvis never could have watched anything on VHS tape, as they were only in limited production in Japan in early 1977. A media mogul of his day would have owned a U-Matic.

It's very likely the whole interior has been remodeled since Elvis. It has an '80s look to it. Compare to the trippy vinyl seats in N777EP.

If the buyer is a influencer with a strong following, those videos will basically make that purchase a drop in the bucket

+1

He can also use the plane to make a bunch more content for his channel.

I think that’s the business model for many auto-entertainment channels on YouTube, like “Tavarish”, with 2.2 million subscribers.

Might sound crazy to buy a crashed Ferrari for $100,000, but then they make a dozen videos from the rebuild and get 50 Million views combined and they come out WAY ahead.

Here is video on the existing "Lisa Marie", a Convair 880 at Graceland Plaza. Enjoy.

Thanks for posting this. Cool information.

I toured it, around 2010. I'll see if I can locate a few pictures of the inside, although I cannot recall if we were allowed to take photos.

Overall the Graceland tour is definitely worth it if you're within a short distance. I was frankly underwhelmed at the estate of the biggest musician in history. It's a modest guest house in size and luxury compared to what current far less important or talented people own today.
