I am using a single group 65 AGM from Walmart. Deleted the grid heater and 2nd battery, truck has been fine. I have no idea if you can get away with that in the north.
I recently purchased a group 27 starting battery for my Lund Tyee boat. It has extra capacity to run the fish finders but still has good CCA to start the main outboard engine and the kicker outboard engine.
