Gentlemen,
I'm currently using Motorcraft Synblend 10w-30 GF-5 ( same as the US) . So far, there is no other oil in our market with GF-5 approved specs except ACdelco 10w-30 conventional oil.
Been following a debate in an Arabic car enthusiasts forum, where a guy posted that Castrol GTX is better than Motorcaft blend
. Bear in mind Castrol GTX here is conventional, SL spec and not approved by API.
He claims he is a chemical engineer with lots of certifications and experience and working in a big Lubricant company, and knows the secrets of motor oils.
I just find it hard to belive: how can an approved GF-5 SN blend, be worse than a conventional SL un-approved oil ?
So my question is : IS it Possible ?
here is a pic of GTX sold here form there ads
this is the company that gives the base stock to Castrol, it is conventional base stock.

Thanks in advance
