Hi,
Ready to change out my clutch. Need to lube the input shaft on the transmission. Looked round for Lubro Moly LM508 but it is not
locally available. Does Permatex,Locktite, ?? make an equivalent.
I read on a VWVortex manual transmission forum that Lubro Moly can be applied to the splines, shaft and clutch fork pivot. Reading the label on LM 508 I do not however see any mention of it.
I'll use the Moly-60 if my local Honda dealer carries it.
The moly 60 is a motorcycle product, It was designed to be used on the splines of gold wing driveshaft splines. I don't know it a Honda auto dealer carries it or not. so if you cant find it check the local honda motorcycle shop. This product really works great.

I thought Moly 60 paste was for suspension link bushings.
It is but like other types of grease thats not its only use.
As far as it being over $500 a gallon, he only needs a very minuscule amount, the smallest $9 tube will be more than enough.
