Got A New Flashlight...

How does one use AliExpress ? They don't take paypal!
I just use a credit card. No problems with it. I did have a dispute once with a vendor, but used Aliexpress dispute resolution. Wasn't that happy with the whole process but it was better than nothing I guess. I bought a $20 light and the light was defective, bad LED or electronics in the head, wasn't bright like the other one. They only offered me $10 off and a real vendor would have just taken it back or sent a new one. It was too much hassle to fight for the other $10 so I gave up and just took the $10. I ended up buying another LED drop in replacement and the body was good, got a brighter one later anyway.

.....I ordered an ArmyTek C2 Pro Max with the warmer LED, which is not as bright as the cool white version, but thats also kind of like picking flypoop from the pepper at 3720 vs 4000 lumens on turbo2.....

......I don't know if the 21700 battery format is going to stick around, but the 18650 option with the adapter and my existing cells, should get me through until the next latest greatest and brightest headlamp generation, is desired/ needed......
I bought the same C2 Pro Max a month ago, even though I already own 3 Armytek headlamps. I like it a lot. The switch is a big improvement over the ones used in my older headlamps.
Have no fear, 21700 cells will be around for a while. They are widely used in power tool battery packs.

21700 cells That must make for a pretty large power tool battery, with at least 4 cells required in series to get enough voltage.
I'm liking my C2 proMax more and more with use, and am surprised how long the battery is lasting.

My only real complaint is that it seems to not want to recharge via tailcap charger, until the battery is somewhere below 4.0 volts.
But, the time it takes to get below 4.0 volts has been impressive and I've not had any need for the full 5000mAH of the included battery, so the complaint is easily dismissed.

The lights in the switch, to indicate state of charge, have been completely useless to me.
The Olight H2R's headband is more comfortable to me, The Armytek C2Promax fits in it, but the magnet is not really strong enough to hold it securely by itself, and stretching the strap over the armytek's larger diameter, takes some effort, unhooking it more, and then rotating the light in the headband is also not easily accomplished.

Picked up the Sofirn IF25a. 4000k temp, anduril 2, claims 3800 lumens, and 21700 battery. Quite happy with it so far, I had been carrying a Sofirn 18650 based light (sp 31v2). The new light came with a 5000 mAh battery, I noticed the longer runtime already. The light is shorter, but slightly thicker than the old one.

I have been holding off for Wurkkos TS21 as I prefer that as far as the looks go. Unfortunately, the latest one has too much parasitic drain and I am watching if manufacturer is going to fix that. They are both are made by Sofirn.

I'd looked at both and was tempted to go with the TS21. I agree with you about the Wurkkos having a nicer aesthetic. Hopefully they work out the drain thing, then I could argue I need another light ;)

An example from Bosch. 18V and 4.0Ah

Finally broke down and pre-ordered this beauty directly from the manufacturer's site after eventually getting the 10% coupon to work. Agreed, it is a piece of jewelry. I know it will likely have the battery drain bug but I will live with it.

My first 26650 cell is here.

And so is my first 26650 light. I love the form factor - fits in my hand like a glove. The light output in turbo is just insane, but it heats up very quickly as well. Thankfully you can modify the thermal config if you find it too warm for comfort. The auxiliary LEDs are kind of neat, too.

Basic UI operation is pretty easy. For all the config stuff - there is a big diagram as well as a lengthy user manual.

I am afraid that at the rate I am going, one of the HankLight is in my future. However, for some bizarre reason, I have mental block to go over $50 for any light. I am also afraid that once I take that plunge, all other lights will become useless to me.

How many HankLights did you acquire since?

Review:-
Cons:- Tailcap threads have no anodization, so no lockout by turning the tail cap
Included battery is only 1800 mAh
Pros:- Everything else! I can't find any other fault. 3 Normal modes with real memory. Hidden and difficult to accidentally reach blinky modes. Good beam, good color. 50mA/500mA/1000mA tailcap current. Square and lubed tailcap threads. Rear button press good quality. Flawless HA3 anodizing. Nice knurling. Charging cover is quite good. Built-in charger with red/green indicator. The cardbox box is good quality and has lanyard and spare o-rings in nice plastic bag.

I say overall quality is as good as a typical Convoy light, fair price for this would be about $25 shipped. I am still shocked that it has NOT gone unavailable yet.

Trust me on this one; I have purchased in excess of 3-digits flashlights over last couple of decades and this one ranks very high on the price to value ratio. You will NOT be disappointed as long as you keep the price in mind.

It does seem that this manufacturer made a mistake in cutting threads after anodizing but the body tail has internal threads which is contrary to this form factor. Body thickness is hefty and so is the head thickness. They could have anodized the threads and carried the current via the edge of the body touching the tailcap ring. This would have given the mechanical lockout. But to be honest, this one does NOT need mechanical lockout as there is zero chance of accidental turning on of this light and it has zero drain when light is off.

I also forgot to mention the reflector is orange peel at the bottom + smooth at top.

As you can guess, I am thrilled with my purchase.

Got this olight seeker 3. I saw it recommended by @Cujet .

I love it, it's great!
Olight is like Apple of flashlights. They charge pretty penny but the lights are great. Years ago, I was able to snag their i6 Paladin for clearance price and the quality difference to run of the mill other Chinese lights was quite apparent. With my self-imposed limit of no more than fifty bucks per light, I only admire Olights from afar.

Is that the one with the rotary dial for brightness control?
