I think its time to run a can of injector cleaner through my Honda. Any recommendations? I would like to stick to easily obtainable, off-the-shelf items. I have some ideas already but would like to hear what the brain trust has to say. I'd like to use the Chevron Techron additive, but I've never seen it here in NW Ohio. Beyond the recommendation, I would appreciate the reasons why you use/prefer the additive you mention. Many thanks.

Try 1/2 bottle with a full tank of fuel, then 2-3 ounces with each successive tank until it's used up.
I've used the Amsoil "PI" for 25 years at a two ounce/tank maintenance dose, but I like the SL-1 equally well.

Also valvoline syn power fuel system cleaner is a good by. It's close to chevron techron. FP-60 is good also.
Regane no doubt. IMO at least.
I also recall Terry stateing in the past that Chevron Techron and Fuel Power are the only ones that do not cause any wear issues on a UOA.

I've had better results with Regane then either Seafoam or Techron. Techron I notices nothing. Seafoam eliminated some pinging. Regane I really felt the difference in drivablity until the PCM figured out that the injectors were clean.

When I did my thesis, the test rig had been run on methanol, with aluminium components in the fuel lines. Injectors (Bosch mechanical) were clogged with that white powder.
Ultrasonic bath did nothing.
CRC "System 1" cleared the injectors in one hit...was amazing to see the fuel drip out the pressurised injector, then start to spray in a few spots, then clear to a full pattern.
Admitedly, I used 250ml to about a gallon of fuel (about 10 times the ratio that was recommended), but it worked amazingly.

If you really think the injectors are clogged, then get a kit that will feed injector cleaner into the rail.
There have been some comments in other posts about fuel injector cleaner damaging in the tank fuel pumps. So I would use a top brand (NOT Slick 50 or Outlaw) and follow their directions with respect to concentration and do not use it too often.
