Good deep or semi deep sockets

Think about how you will likely use them. Will the deep ones not allow you to get into tight spaces?

The GearWrench mids linked above are great. Give you that bit of extra depth, but can still get in tight spots. Recommended.

That’s what my standard sockets are (as well as the round head ratchet). I didn’t think they were still made here for some reason.

Depends. Are these for just once in a while usage, or or you going to earn a living with them ?. For home use, you might get a better deal with one of the large sets with every size any type socket you'd ever need.,,

Definitely not earning a living with them.

Some of Williams are usa, some are Taiwan . The 12 point williams set is Taiwan.

HF only makes semi deep in 3/8ths. Not many make 1/4 semi deep.
I have the Gearwrench 3/8th mid set and use it very often vs others.

Thanks for the ad..If you screen shot the coupon/barcode on your phone they will still honor the ad until tomorrow night. Even though they are not advertised "on sale" in the store anymore.
I picked up some 3/8 semi deep metric Icon' for $26.

For comparison, I just picked up the Quinn 1/4" deep metric set from HF ($7.19 with coupon). They're noticeably lighter than my older Craftsman ones. I did not compare, but suspect that the Icons are more stout. For my purposes, the Quinns will likely be fine at 1/3 the price.

I have shallow, semi deep and deep, all Snap on from when I was a mechanic. I keep the semi deeps in my carry bag. I've always used them the most.
The Icons are so reasonably priced I got my son both.

Lots of good suggestions already made, but if you're older I'd go with sockets that have the sizes stamped well and kind of large as they're easy to see with aging eyes.
