So, what I am looking for is a cheap filter with a silicone anti-drainback valve that will fit on my vehicle during my cleaning/desludging phase. My truck does not like rubber/nitrile ADBVs at all (startup rattle is N/A when I use silicone but very much present when I use rubber/nitrile), so I need to find something cheap and upon doing some digging around, it looks as if the FL400s fits the bill and it's not as much as other filters with the silicone ADBV. So, my question is will it fit? From what I've gathered from digging through the search function is that it will, but just for my own confirmation, is this indeed a fact that it will fit in place of FL-1A type filters.

I am running FL1A size on the 92 Aerostar 3.0 and it calls for the FL400s. I think the gasket size is slightly different on the filters, but I found the mounting surface to be identical between the Aerostar and my 95 F150 4.9L. Tough to measure as I took a plastic ruler, cut it to about 4 inches, then made a U shaped cut in the middle to account for the threaded part that sticks out. I think you will find you are okay to use the FL400 for your flush.

But I wonder if there is a brand of FL1A size that has the silicon antidrainback valve? Folks here should know.

The P1 PL30001 and Wix 51515 have silicone, but the thing with those is that both are GREAT, but I'd rather use those during regular OCI runs because they are so good at filtration I'd rather not "throw them away" on a cleaning/desludging phase.

Sounds like you are using AutoRX. Can't remember how many miles the cleaning desludging phase is, but the FL400 is smaller, so somewhat less capacity, maybe not matter though.

Thank you very much everyone! I bought one and installed it this morning. It fit perfectly and my startup tap is predictably gone.
