Hello folks...
I'm looking for a good place to download/buy either or both of these GM engine oil specs (GM6094M or Dexos1). My interest is in knowing what the specs actually require (by reading the actual spec). Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey! Lititz, PA, that is where they make the Victor Mouse Traps. Also clock and watch museum is there. These places are on my list to visit.

Most 0w-20 and 5w-30 syn. and syn. blends are now Dexos1 gen 2 spec. Pick you favorite brand/color bottle and rock on. WalMart is where I would head to. Also pick up a Fram XG.

So is Dex1. I get confused because many on here say Dex1 when they mean Dex1 Gen2.

6094M is just API clone and could be met by any dino

The important one was 4718M, the one used in Corvettes and Cadillac.

Both were superseded by dexos1

Any pre-2011 GM that's not a Corvette or Cadillac can use any SN dino

There are oil companies that do that. I've seen product data sheets that talk about being "Dexos 1 certified" and when you see the bottle, it says "Dexos 1, Gen 2." I'm not sure anyone still sells new stock oils that are Dexos 1 gen 1, so I think Dexos 1 has become a general term that can be applied to D1 G2.

Just my 2c, of course. I'm often wrong. Ask my wife.

GM could go the ACEA route and not rename each spec when it's updated.

No problem. This document used to be directly accessible from GM Dexos' page. No longer. Maybe it's no longer valid?

I use DEXOS , full synthetic in our 2015 Chevy Sonic 1.8l . What ever is on sale . Have not paid any attention to which generation it is . Figured there was only one DEXOS in 2015 & that should still be good enough . Am I messing up ?

Currently running NAPA 5W-30 full synthetic .

Do not think there are ant conventional oils that are DEXOS ?
