In the L87 engines GM will be replacing your 0w20 oil with 0w40.

Wow, shocked to see that move by GM.

Maybe I should step up to a 0w or 5w-30 in my L83 of the ‘16 Suburban, you know, just to be on the side of caution for the sake of longevity. 0w-40 may be more than needed for my vehicle usage.

Actually I may use HPL PPPCMO or NoVII 5w-30 in all. One oil to stock!

I have a 14 6.2, and already planned to switch to 5w30 after my amsoil 0w20 run. It’ll be on that till it won’t go anymore.

Inspection checks for PO016, crankshaft and camshaft should be rotating in sync, but the P0016 code suggests they are out of sync.

I thought the issue was a rod bearing problem?
