I've bought a few extra-cop guns. I expect them to be pretty beat up on the outside but with great internals.

That's been true for mine except for the Sig P226 I got that was from Flint MI PD. That pistol was beat (I think there were teeth marks in the frame), magazine that came with it had blood pitting, and the barrel rattled in the slide.

Here it is. It came with the original box, 3-13 rd. mags, brush, rod, papers, 2 fired rd. cases, and a Speer GD bullet rolling around in the box. The gun shows NO holster wear. I haven't disassembled it yet. And, the night sights glow like lasers!
