Hello and good day everybody. recently had my cable, phone and internet transferred from my old address to my new house. Comcast sent out a tech for a site survey and they said we are clear. on the side of the house is conduit for the cable to run and I had a media center wired in the basement with all of my equipment in there. all the Tech had to do was install ONE wire to get me signal and call in my equipment to activate it. well first the tech was 30 minutes late, drilled a hole in my siding and did not seal it , ran a cable wire above ground saying he could not tell if my conduit ran into theirs ( ummm blow a string through and see if it make it I told him ) next he gets in the basement and cuts all of the connectors and wires out of my structured media cabinet , leaving a splitter hanging out of the box. figured I will rewire it back up then he says he can not activate my modem and cuts mine out of the cabinet. he then puts one of their [censored] all purpose modems on my cellar wall and downloads Comcast software on MY laptop ( his was out of juice so he wanted to check the internet ) he then leaves even though the phone was not working. when I check the phone he had a phone jack taped to cat6 wire that was wired to my upstairs RJ 45 jacks. I told this guy where all the wires were and that he only needed to hook up one wire. well next day I am on the phone and calling o get my modem up and running as it worked fine the day before. have spent two days on the phone with a lot of reps and a supervisor and I still have no internet and phone service. filed a claim with the BBB and FCC. filed a form on Comcast and used their chat to get some resolution. wasted a bunch of my cell phone minutes trying to get service. what else can I do at this point ? has anybody had luck getting Comcast to fix their issue. sad part is my development only has Comcast wired. can I complain to the developer ?
