My youngest son is a otr flatbed truck driver and he starts his day at 2am. He’s currently driving from Gary Indiana to Watertown South Dakota and he said it was pretty cool last night
I've only see wispy edges before. I mean really first time in 66 years full on. Tonight I hope is same or better.

Last night was rainy and cloudy for us. I’m Hoping it clears up tonight!
Tonight supposed to be lighter and it is just starting
I got nothing. Bummer
Took my DSLR & tripod down to the boat launch/ beach.
Took a series of exposures at 1 or 2 seconds, ISO 3200, f/3.5, 18mm-- as wide an angle as I've got.
Stitched the pictures together with dissolves to emulate motion. Since I had about one second between exposures as well as one second exposures, this video is about 2x normal speed, since each frame gets a second.
Crazy. I didn't know the "rays" came from a central location overhead. That was nifty!
