Generic Makita Li-ion batteries

I find myself needing a cordless angle grinder.

I already have the 18v makita 1.5 a/h batteries and charger with my drill and impact driver.

Apparently, If one reviewer is to be believed, Makita's angle grinder wont accept the 1.5 A/h BL1815 battery but will the 3.0.

Of course the batteries are $$$.00 by them selves.

Saw E bay sells some generic BL1830's for considerably less.

Anybody try these generic batteries?

I haven't tried the generic batteries but I love my Makita cordless angle grinder. It works well. Great for cutting off rusted fasteners and wire brushing a gasketed surface smooth. I use the Makita 3.0AH batteries on it.
