Sorry - I thought G96 made both a LP and a CLP ...That's my incomplete thought ! I'm sure it's the synthetic CLP from G96 I want to try .

And? Its not certified. If it could pass the test, then they would submit it as such, and get it fully certified. The military contracts are HUGE and that is where the lube companies like to make their bread and butter money.

To be certified for the latest revision, multiple M249's have to be basically destroyed. Read the protocol. I inquired of Pantheon why they did not go ahead with it, and they cited not wanting to buy several M249's. Whether this is an excuse or a reason, I do not know, but it is a legitimate hurdle to funding certification.

Probably the brand and type of gun oil is not different except maybe in a highly used AR.

Clean and lube the firearm every 500 rounds and it will look the same no matter what oil you use. I would buy this oil bc it suckered me in. Which I may do..lol.

I have most certainly discovered that some products work better than others. Regarding wear? Not so much, but regarding ease of cleaning the weapon, you bet! I have found organic products do best for keeping my M4 clean (Froglube and the like). The problem is that they get tacky and gummy over time. The only one I have not yet had do that is ALG-Go Juice. To my knowledge, and it's been commercially available for 6+mo now, NOONE has had an issue with it gumming/gelling.
