FYI, two WalMart 5W-40s

For your interest, VOAs for Rotella T6 5W-40 and Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40.

The Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck was marked down to $21/gallon at my local WalMart last week.

Rotella T6 was $19/gallon at the local WalMart, and there is a Shell $20 mail-in rebate for a 3 gallon purchase (see the Product Rebates forum) between now and 9-JUL.

With some negotiation, I convinced Advance to beat WalMart by price-matching and then allowing one of the promotion coupons, so I was out the door with my 3 gallons of T6 for a bit less than $40. Putting my rebate form into the mail today.

Sounds like you are a tad happier with AAP using one of the posted coupons. Certainly nice AAP price matched the Wally T6 price which would be my choice between the two. Nice score!

Not all WM are created the same. Oil inventories differ widely from store to store.
Many stores here in the midwest have eliminated automotive service & reduced supplies & other dept such as garden centers to make room for groceries.
I do not like the trend.

I have wasted too many trips to Walmart and too many trips back to the automotive department at Walmart, only to find they do not stock the oil I want and have no intention of stocking it in the future. I go there for other things, however I am still disappointed.
