I've such bad luck with Shell rebates only 1 for three they are off my buy list unless the straight price with no rebate per Jug is under $15

You have to buy two 5-quarts jugs to get the $22 rebate and even then it is a Shell gift card not a check or even a Visa debit card. It is only spendable at a Shell location i.e. gas station. Not a good deal.

Getting $11 off a normally inflated priced jug of oil is nothing great especially if it’s a rebate. I can buy two jugs of full synthetic for $22 at retail and get 1.5% cash back using my Navy Fed Visa. They count on the fact there is a dozen ways to reject your rebate submission. Got to be careful what I say about Shell around here so let’s just say they run a tight ship processing rebate. They also count on the fact most you will leave three or four bucks unspent on the crummy gift card by the time it expires. Gas stations that offer a cash discount will not honor the discount for a Shell gift card.
