Need to replace a front wheel hub bearing assembly on a 05 Buick Century.
Has two options, one with abs and one without. Other than the wire harness
for the abs is there any difference between the two? In other words use a
non abs hub and just cut the wire off?
Thanks

There'll be a "pulse ring" and sensor on the ABS equipped hub.
You don't want to see an ABS light for the rest of your ownership of the car.
There might be some dimensional difference as well.
Also, said light might fail you (or whoever you sell the car to) on inspection.

Get the right part.

Trav it is my sisters Buick and I don't have access to it now.
Trying to get her to look at the dash for the abs symbol would
be a issue. lol

You can buy the abs one and if abs is not needed, just cut the wire when installing. The part you need is Moog/skf 513179. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MOOG-Front-Wheel-Hub-Bearing-Assembly-Pair-Set-of-2-for-Chevy-Pontiac-w-ABS/292522749770?epid=28011415926&hash=item441bb6ef4a:g:yFcAAOSwyGZaL-sa&vxp=mtr#vi-ilComp

This wheel bearing fits 745 GM vehicles taking 38 pages of vehicles it fits. I have two Buick Lesabres WITH antilock brakes and an 04 Chevy Impala WITHOUT antilock brakes; same wheel bearing fits all 3 of my cars and your car and up to 2013 Impala, Buick Lucerne, Cadillac DTS, etc. I would take Trav's advice and buy an SKF from Rock Auto. https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/skf,BR930548K,wheel+bearing+&+hub+assembly,1636

I have installed no name parts on these vehicles to the point I'm sick of doing it and I now have two SKFs (Trav's advice) sitting on a shelf in my garage for the next ones that fail.

I would also install them in pairs; both front. The wheel bearing nut is 34mm and torques to 114 ft. lbs., the three hub bolts inside torque to 70 ft. lbs. They are 13mm and you can save a lot of disassembly headaches by cutting the steering wheel all the way one side and loosening two of the three, then cut the steering wheel all the way to the other lock to loosen the 3rd nut. Use a six point socket because it may take quite a bit of force to break loose and you certainly don't want to round off the heads. Use 3/8" drive tools because 1/2" drive will not fit in the restricted work space. I had to use a 5 foot cheater pipe on the 34mm hub nut because some dealer ape used an impact on it. Had to block all 4 wheels in place because I was certainly going to move the car or break SOMETHING with 1000 ft. lbs. of force; but that's what it took to break loose. (That's why it failed; overtorqued). PM me if you have further questions. Hope this helps you.

Simple.

At least they still make the OEM hubs. Rock Auto has both the ABS and non-ABS OEM hubs at a fair price

I would definitely buy it on Rockauto versus ebay, even if the price is higher on rock. Maybe check Amazon but be careful with third party sellers so you don't get a cheap counterfeit.
