2500 miles and 10 months with almost all of it being short trip city miles. Filter looks great and I almost contemplated leaving It on for a second OCI. Oil was kinda dirty for the mileage though. I put a WIX 51372 back on and 5.5 quarts of Miles 10w30 synthetic blend oil. The last picture I had a couple of old hard drive magnets stuck to the outside of the oil filter and that seems to work pretty well for trapping fine ferrous metals.

I am glad the magnets caught the ferrous metals. Joshing aside thanks for the C&P.

Maybe they should make special BITOG filters so one can unscrew the can from the base and not need to cut it open?

Save buying the $50 oil filter cutter also.
When you start building engines like this for a hobby the $50 filter cutter becomes pretty irrelevant. I think I paid $40 for mine.
