Reuse, reduce, recycle!

Just flip it around!

Screw it, grab an ecore and cannibalize it!

Just reuse the same gasket and stop wigging out over little things. You already drank the kool-aid went fram tasticly retarded any way lol.

I actually agree with your rationale of thinking you may need to use a different gasket. Fram Ultras are good, don't get me wrong, but all the previous Fram filters I've used have always been harder to take off than put back on. Be sure to always remember to lube up the gasket before re-installing the filter, too.

I good reason to just leave it on, because if it's really hard to remove and it gets dented or damaged in the process, then it would be questionable about reusing it.

I tried reusing a filter... the very next morning I checked my oil and it was considerably dirty/dark compared to how it should look 12 hours after an OCI.

I didn't realize just how much oil comes out when I remove the filter, way more than 8oz for my car.

I have no doubt the ULTRA can go multiple OCI's, but I just left like I did a half-[censored] oil change

Do an oil change on a diesel...

I would take leaving a filter on for multiple OCIs vs. removing it and potentially get dirt/contaminants falling inside when it's removed/re-installed. If the filter is removed, it should be replaced.
