Went down to my local Walmart where I go 90% of the time to any of them. Walked back to the oil,filter, etc. isle. Grapped this FRAM PH4967 and this is what it looked like. Grabbed the one underneath it and it was the exact same. Grabbed the one behind it and it was the same. I stopped there -- bad bach of oil filters? Could not get a good enough angle with the camera to see internals. Checked the TG4967 & FE4967 -- they looked normal. Was not going to open a XG box without purchasing. When I wiped the grime between my fingers -- it just blended right into my skin and left zero residue...

Shoot! Fram forgot to add this anti corrosion substance.

Rub some cardboard on that and it will shine like chrome

Perhaps someone tried making a diesel exhaust filter out of it.
