I service a few GM vehicles which take a Napa Gold 1522 filter, specifically a 2001 Chevy 1500 with the 5.3 Vortec and a GMC Canyon with the 3.7 Vortec. They both also cross to an ACDelco PF61E. However, when looking for the correct Fram filter for each one, the 1500 Chevy calls for an XG3675 while the Canyon calls for an XG9837. The only difference is the XG9837 has no ADBV, otherwise they are identical. They never have the XG3675 at my local Wal Mart, would it be ok to use the XG9837 on the 1500 Chevy?

I'm not acquainted with those particular products, but in general you shouldn't use a filter with no ADBV on a vehicle that specifies an ADBV filter. At worst, that would be like starting with a new (not pre-filled) filter every time you start the engine.

This list if=s for the PH3675, any will cross:

If you need an XG (not all PH have an XG brother) then just switch letters
