You sound like me. The max I'll spend on 5qts or 5L is around $30.

Yeah the Castrol w titanium gold bottle is $28 plus change and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is $27 plus change. That's at Wally world. I do think that Mobil one, Castrol, and Pennzoil all try to keep their highest level of oil less than $30 for good reason.

That's the NAPA Canada regular price. The Acklands-Grainger regular price is $111.01. But that does include free shipping. What are they shipping with? A private plane? A Bentley driven by the CEO of Shell?

Gold nuggets at the bottom of the container??
You all deserve far better prices than $70-110. Crazy.

I know someone at Napa that will sell me the old Pennzoil Ultra API SM 5L for 45ish dollars. Which is 10% above cost.

There must be! I'm sure they're not selling much. While I savage Canadian Tire and Walmart Canada about their regular prices, absolutely no one would be nuts enough to buy from Acklands-Grainger for that, even with free shipping in the boonies, since any oil distributor will take care of you on that regard.

Farmer: Well, that isn't too bad, but at that price, that explains why they still have SM PU. It was like a Walmart here that had the original go around of Castrol Edge gold bottle on clearance for something like $14.88 a litre until long, long past the SN/GF-5 rollout.

Quite strange, I always get good deals on Walmart Clearance only if the BITOG member "Run" doesn't get to them before me

. We're in the same area I usually let him know if there's any good deals out there.

I've gotten QS Defy SL quart bottles for $3 before, but there was only 7 left.

I've seen them clearance the Pennzoil filters at a good price; I'm not even sure why they had them. The Bosch and normal Puros didn't get lowered that much. I suppose much is up to the manager's discretion for clearance pricing, and if they're being obtuse, I guess that's that. He must like to lower oil filter prices when clearing, but not the oil.

I was just in Walmart North Regina and they now have a selection of Defense filters for $3.92. they have the 7317, the 9688 and a couple other ones I can't remember the part number. These filters have the same base plate as the Mobil 1.

I'm not sure where they are acquiring these filters from, but it is a good alternative to the current offerings of the overpriced FRAM, providing they have the part number you are looking for.

As for distributors, I may have to ask Imperial Oil if they handle M1 filters. I don't need a pallet of them, though.

They sell by the box of 10 liters
