So I went to Wally World to look at the oil and filters for the 1000th time. Is this what life had come to?

Anyway I was thinking the Fram Endurance or Ultra for my sons Honda Accord. I did not like the louvers as the looked barely open. And the Ultra the ADBV was really wierd how it was in the center tube. Ive never seen this before. Is that normal?? Its like oil would have to flow over it and the lip edge creating space between the rubber and tubing wall. Disrupting a straight shot. Just strange and did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. And its visible on one side in the pic but not the other?

Im sticking with the ST9688 for now. Ecore=no closed louvers.

Here are some pics. Notice the ADBV. Upon zooming in I can see the louvers are open more than what i saw with the naked eye but im still scheptical. Any thoughts or opinions?

Yeah, those louvers aren't great ... I wouldn't use it either. The ADBV is normal, it's like that on many Frams. Nothing to worry about ... not going to impact flow when a PD pump is forcing the oil through the filter. People get too hung up on how things look and how they think it's going to impact "flow".

Or just drive down the road to AAP, AZ, O'Reillys and grab a Premium Guard version. Cruise the on-line Rain Forest and grab a case of Pentius PLXL versions shipped to you.
