My brother and I were cleaning out one of my dads sheds today (he just recently went into a nursing home) and we found a FRAM TG2 oil filter. My dad bought it at Walmart on 11/14/2016 (the receipt was in the filter box-$5.94).
The code on the oil filter is down below in a pic. Can someone decipher it for me? Thanks!

Probably day 265 of year 2016. = Sep 21, 2016.

"6265" = 6 is 2016
265 is day 265 of 2016

OT: a date that is given as the "day of the year" like indicated 265 above is known as the Julian date.

Not sure how widely known this is.
