Found this at our local Canadian Tire. Of course like all other FRAM products it is overpriced. I've never seen it before.

Exactly. It's a CoP product made in Texas.
But I agree it's over-priced considering the other name brand syn's you can get for less such as PP 5W-30.
 
That stuff is on closeout in the US for way less than 4 bucks a qt. I think VIP has a sale this week. Should be excellent deal if you can buy on the cheap.

I picked up 5qts. of it in 5w-20 at autozone for $2.39 a quart a couple months ago. Unfortunately thats all the 5w-20 they had. Its going in my scion next oil change
 
I bought 3 or 4 cases of it for $3 / quart. I have it in the Solstice right now.

It's a really good bargain while it lasts as it's less expensive than most mineral oils.

If it's on closeout in the States I suspect Cdn Tire picked up a few truck loads for a song then retail it at a premium price.
At the equivalent of 6 bucks a litre the mark-up is probabily 400-500%.
