Just some pics I took at Walmart side by side... cartridge style so you can see the media well.
Both claim to have the same efficiency (99+% @ 20u) per Fram, and the construction is the same - and both made in the USA. I'd buy the one that costs the least in this case, since I don't care about the difference between a 20K and 25K mile use rating.
One of these days I'm going to setup my camera on a tripod along with some special studio lighting for the filter isle.Great photos of these just be careful opening these inside the store. I do the same thing to take a peek but you never know.

very good point. It pays to check them.I always open them up in the aisle before buying them. I have encountered quite a few cheap filters in more expensive boxes because some people are jerks.
How do you remove that clear sticker? I can never peel them off without the cardboard getting ripped off with itI always open them up in the aisle before buying them. I have encountered quite a few cheap filters in more expensive boxes because some people are jerks.
I don't leave the house without a pocket knife. I only slice that sticker if I intend on buying it. But if I open it and some jerk swapped it out for a cheapo filter I will know before I leave the aisle and can drop it off with customer service. So really, everyone wins thanks to my trusty pocket knife. How do you remove that clear sticker? I can never peel them off without the cardboard getting ripped off with it
I'll look at 3 or 4 of them before I find one with louvers I like lol. Fram is the only one that has the seal thoughI don't leave the house without a pocket knife.
