Synthetic blend media that provides 99%+ filtering efficiency for particles greater than 20 microns and protects up to 15,000 miles .... wavy pleats and wrinkles are a bonus!

One crappy filter.
I've cut open fram orange can I used only few times 95 neon, way back 2000-2003 era. 2,700-3200 miles.6 months.
Cardboard end caps yes, wide gap media yup ..all crumpled n messed up after use? Never. But one time 1995-96 local Woolworths, opened fram orange can, allied signal then, for a 1985 Isuzu I mark hatchback I had .. their indeed was a cigarette butt in it.
The neon...2 times I put fram orange can on it, Quaker State Conventional 5w30,2002 era, both times about 40 miles in oil pressure light came on ..
Took filter off, both times, put Mopar dealer on, light went off

Looks really sad, especially so at 3k miles. Endcap deflection at the seam pleat, no bueno. Based on this result, I'd use a better filter better next time.

Thanks for c&p.

I still have one PH9688 left in my stock. Looking at the pictures here I'm thinking I'm not going to run it. Either trash or maybe cut open new here. Looks like Fram is going under so maybe I should keep it as a decoration.

Why not give it a short run like 1-2k and then cut it open?

It does look mediocre. However, to me, it looks like most of the mangling was from prying it out of that heavy crimped-cut can?
