They look very PG made to me. All the c&p’s look great. I was going to buy a case until I found the Carquest Premium sale for $4 and some change each.

A UOA without a PC isn't going to show any oil filtering performance. And one PC with nothing but the ISO code isn't going to give any side by side comparison of different filters on the same engine. But one PC would be better than nothing.

I contacted Horizon and they said they don’t do particle count testing on used oil because the fluid is too dark to see the particles in the sample.

Do you recommend the CQP and MGS in cartridge filters too, or something else?
I don't know much about those brands in the cartridge form. Not even sure there have been any posted here from what I recall. Might be worth dropping in the store and take a look at them to see what you think.
Maybe we should all start asking about it and they will pass along that the design downgrades are apparent and customers are switching brands. I will email too.
Send them the mock ups of their boxes that I made.
Somewhat application dependent, but I wouldn't buy a cartridge from either of those companies without seeing it in person.
I have seen a red Carquest box for a popular Mercedes filter contain both the Mann OE and the Wix filter. Since they change suppliers often, they may be getting the Premium Guard filter now.
Microguard show a picture of the Wix version for the basic filter and a made in Vietnam Premium Guard for the Premium filter.
Since you can get the filters from the original OE manufacturers for the same or less price, it is just not worth it in those cases.

I have had a 4967 on my wife’s Camry for the last 2 oil changes. I now feel compelled to cut it open at this upcoming oil change.

Indeed - if the wavy metal ends before the radius - it can still seat there - many of the end caps have a raised radius …But, it's most likely still "filtering more oil than it isn't." /sImo, not what one should expect to see/find in any filter, but even more so in a premium one costing ~$13. The fit and finish of the bypass seal area just doesn't get it done.

As dP increases - so does the seating force …
Been shown there's an air gap when the filter is assembled and the leaf spring is under pressure. Window cut in the dome of the can to inspect the leaf spring to end cap sealing area. The leaf spring it too stiff to bend in use and "seal" better. The root causes of the problem is rippled sealing surface and/or non-flat/warped leaf spring. Trying to make a good seal happen on a metal to metal interface needs both a smooth and a flat surface, or it's futile to think it's going to seal well.

Yep, won’t seal under pressure in the can as I proved and WCW put one in a vise with the same results. I also heated this one to over 200 degrees and thermal expansion would not seal it.

Ultra has the same problem unless you can find an OG.

In acknowledgement of a reply above, I'll just say for me this is now beating a dead horse. I don't believe that being inside the can and/or in use changes anything about the light test findings. It's a reliable indication of oil bypass in the metal to metal seal area, period. @ZeeOSix and @Glenda W. above sum up what's been found and fwiw, I agree.
