Thanks for the C&P. With the issues on the leaf springs on the FRAM filters, I’ve also switched to PG filters.

Great work and photos sir. I Thank You. Solid choice on moving away from Endurance

It seems to be cost of filters has risen world wide. $10 used to be a lot. What about another brand of USA like the Boss which is no longer $10, more like 14-15. But is that a lot, not for me as I don’t need to drive much.
The second thing is what am I going to do with about 8 oil filters I probably won’t use? Maybe just say that’s life and throw them out, or what.

I was buying OG Titaniums for $12. But now they’re $16. Boss is a nicely built filter as long as the louvers are well formed and efficiency is not a concern. I have settled on PG made filters which I bought on sale for a little over $4 each.

That’s the way to do it then use them all. I have mostly the leak spring filters except a couple, so probably throw them out. Or ignore the common beliefs. I don’t think these efficiency numbers are exact but that’s how I think. Whip just did a look at cartridge filters, the two Boss media ones have different efficiency numbers but both come from Korea and look identical. The other Mopar has no efficiency numbers. The dealers are putting the Mopar on every day nation wide, probably a thousand per day total. Maybe more.

Leaf spring ripples don't matter when the whole leaf spring is bowed and causes a big air gap where the ripples are. Flat and smooth, or it's a fail for a metal on metal "seal". 🙃

The thing is I want to buy from USA, and help employ someone. It’s a grain of sand on a beach but that’s all I can do. I wish they would stop making the louvers, go back to holes. Not judging what others buy.
Time to walk the dog, gets dark early. He loves these walks. Three hours per day, was more. Got him from the SPCA three years ago, older guy.
