Fram endurance FE7317 in use for 17,185 miles with HPL 0w30 premium passenger car engine oil in use on my 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i FB25 6MT. I think the filter held up well but I am no expert. I will update with more pictures of media once it is wicked dry

No wavy pleats on this one. Material change? What was the date code?
Is there an endurance cut open with wavy pleats?

Are you thinking of the new gen Fram Ultra Synthetic without wire backing??.. Those are the ones that many times look microwaved after very few miles... I would go Tough Guard before I went for one of those.
I thought there was one recently but sounds like I am mistaken.
This is the 2nd used Endurance I have seen cut open posted on these forums and the first one held up perfectly fine.
Maybe mistaken a Ultra?
Only $3 extra over everything transpired during the past 2 years is a deal, IMO… it could always be worse. Call the extra 5k mile rating the reason for the upcharge and it’s $10
Will you cut the paper element from the filter body and take some pictures with the paper stretched?
On the bright side if you can get one for your vehicles then you're in good shape. They don't offer one in a Fram box for my truck.
I'll add to this request with persistence. This is a good idea with the mileage on this filter.
I'll try my best. Havent removed the media on a wire backed filter before. I'll try it on a wire backed titanium when one comes in first.
Just think of this. Amsoil is $18.35, Royal Purple is $19 for the same filter. FRAM's price is a deal especially in todays economy with high inflation.
Only way to beat $10 is an AAP Titanium (with a discount code & preferably Speed Perks) if you can find a wire backed one, or if you can find a wire backed OG Ultra in a Meijer, Walmart, or similar.
The filter for my truck from Amsoil is $47.35 + Shipping & it's only rated for 15,000 miles. Sounds like you all have a bargain without a discount from my view.

I checked out the filter selection at Wally’s today and the Fram Endurance is very prominent on the shelves besides the Supertech of course. Fram and Supertech have taken over. Wix, Purolator and Royal Purple are no longer stocked.
The very top and bottom shelves had some Mobil 1 and the OEM filters. The Mobil 1 filters had moved from a better location to high up. I suspect they won’t be around much longer as they are priced a lot higher than everything else.
