Thanks for the correct terminology….!

Looking at the OP’s original pictures, one of use has an older filter based on the number of holes and what appears to be a “collar” around the raised base plate threaded mounting hole.

And apparently mine is the older version……..!

Would BITOGers still use it?

Both base plate designs are fine. As long as the Endurance you have (date code looks to be 01/30/23) is specified for your engine it will work fine.

That's a baseplate design Champ Labs uses. Makes sense here since OP says the topic FE, like the MP7317 series is an ecore. As noted earlier, the MP7317 with same baseplate I c&p in June showed light from bypass seal area.

Champ ecore also has used a design similar to other Fram type shown post #6&17 here, but they added an outer extra plate which they said was to make installation easier.
