Here is a FRAM EG4387 with 2200 miles and 8 months on it. Ran Valvoline 5w20 Dino, many short trips in cold weather, idling and some longer trips which heated things up some.

This is a 2.4L Toyota oil burner engine with 103k and it used 1/2 quart in 2200 miles. Prior to this the oil was always changed at the dealer at specified intervals, I will post a denso filter later on from those.

I am trying to clean up the engine a bit, does not look terrible from the oil fill hole. The engine dirtied the oil fairly quickly, but the reason I changed it was due to time and short trips. This oil was in thru the winter so it seen many cold starts around -5 to 10 degrees, but OCI seen temps from -5 to 92 degrees ambient.

Filter looked good, it captured some particles, my only concern is the tube was not perfectly centered with the end cap on the ADBV end, but it seemed to seal well despite that and I am not worried about it.

The ADBV Was holding fine, and the pressure relief valve looked good, though the picture I took of it didn't turn out.

I Put another EG4387 on with Valvoline Maxlife High mileage 5w20 semi synthetic this time around.

P.s. I need to figure out why some pics flip upside down after I upload them. Sorry!

ADBV was soft and formed well.

Slightly off center tube.

Tube itself is perfect

Caught some particles.

I wasn't very neat taking the pleated section apart. I ripped it apart with brute force, I didn't want to get my knife all oily. It fought me, but I won...

Nice big holes in the centertube. But on the end opposite the adv, how well is the centertube sealed at the endgap? From the pics i see a slight gap at 10:00 , could be just the lighting.

There was a slight gap on the ADBV side. The center tube was slightly off center. As long as the ADBV was sealing against the endcap, which it appeared to be, there was no way for anything to get by the filter media. Slightly sloppy construction, but I dont believe it affected the functionality of it, though it may have been possible for a slight amount of oil to get by the media. I got jumpy and ripped the filter apart. I wish i would not have done that now....

On the Pressure relief side of the center tube everything was A-OK.

Now I wish I wouldn't have torn the filter apart, I got jumpy. I would have gotten a better pic of the off center center tube, I thought I did but it was too blurry to tell anything.

Im going to keep a close eye on the next one, I may need to use my actual camera or my wifes Iphone and see if it can do better closeups.

Looks very clean still.
The off center center tube is a bit concerning.
Looks like it is off on both sides (or do you just have 1 side posted at different angles?).
Probably not an issue, since like you said, ADV covered it (and the spring covered the other if you posted both sides), but it could have been leaking as well.

I am guessing you meant PH4386? That is what fits the 2.4. There is no 4387 filter number.
I mentioned it in another of your threads (your mower one?), but the 3600 size filter also fits the xB and your Sienna (both are 3/4-16 thread, similar diameter).
A 6 pack of Ultra/FPS 3600 filters can be found for ~$30 shipped on e-bay. Seeing how you have 3 vehicles that take the same size filter, that would not be a bad option.

Yes, the 4386, that what I get trying to read the number off my picture! I compared sizes and the 3600 is just a hair larger in diameter, if it will fit Ill put it on. My parents van also uses a 3614/3600 so that would be the whole fleet I maintain with one filter.

Plus if I get them off ebay for 5 bucks each and charge my parents retail ill make a few bucks....J/K!!

Yeah, the 3600 is a few mm larger diameter, but the mounting plate for the filter easily fits it.
Very common to upsize the 4386 to the 3600 (or Motorcraft FL400s). The 3614 is used if length is an issue.
Bypass setting varies between manufacturers. I know it is a little different with Fram (one is 12 psi, the other is 14 psi), but on the Wix side, they are all "8-11" psi.

I have a few of the Bosch + filters in the 3600 size once I am done with my CQ Blue filters (OEM size), and plan on the TG3600 once I am done with the filters I have (maybe a XG3600 every other drain).
