Hello all,
For years, I've been using Fram PH7317's on my and my kids' cars (2013 Subaru XTrek, 2014 Subaru Outback, 2015 Honda Fit, 2020 Subaru Crosstrek).
Now that this filter is no longer available, I'm wondering/hoping that the Ecogard x4610 is compatible with all of these cars.
Ecogard claims that their x4610 is a suitable replacement for the Fram 7317. However Ecogard does not include the Subaru's amongst the compatible cars (it does say it's correct for the Honda Fit). Fram listed all of them (the Subaru's and the Honda) as compatible with their 7317.
I know from reading this forum that the bypass pressure specs for the Subaru's are markedly different/higher than those for the Honda's, so now I'm completely puzzled how any single filter can be an appropriate fit for Subaru's and Honda's the way Fram claimed with the 7317.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
