FP3000 is no longer listed on their website(?). Has its production been discontinued?

If the link given to the product no longer works, perhaps they decided to put a temporary hold on taking new orders for FP3000. There was much concern over the preorders placed for it. From what I understand they are trying to complete their large scale commercial fleet orders at this time and that has pushed back the satisfying of web orders.

Thats the only reason I can logically figure out.

Wow. Great experiences guys.

chefwong, I understand you are interested about FP3000. But most people have only had it for a week.

I just put it in on Sunday. My truck has regained the same feeling it had when I used FP60. I was without either FP for about a month so I was able to feel the difference right away. It's still way too early to comment on MPG effects. I like that I have to use less of it to treat my tank. I plan on alternating between 1 and 2 oz. each fill-up, which for me, is usually around 15 gallons. That's the only real benefit that I see for using FP3000 over FP60 so far. This gallon of 3000 should last me close to a year and a half, or more. The gallon of FP60 I bought at this time, last year just ran out about a month ago.

I'd wait a couple months before "drinking" the new FP3000. Sure seems like they are having a supplier problem. I'll wait til they get that solved before pouring the pink jello in my gas tank!

Get your story straight. They had a problem allocating enough product for their consumer pre-order sales (BITOG). They had to fulfill their contracts with large bulk customers first. The web orders are apparently a very, very small part of LCD's business.

As soon as I started using FP3000 I got 18MPG! Oh wait, I get 18MPG anyway.

So far no difference in fuel economy over FP60. I am not sure FPanything increases fuel economy in a measurable amount. I am sure it does since it has higher energy content then gasoline, but at 1oz per 10 gallons I don't think it is going to show up. The only way I think it helps fuel economy is by keeping everything clean and prevents the MPG from going down over time.

But so far so good. Nothing has blown up and it seems to work just as well as the old stuff.

I am wondering if the dosage change (from 1oz/5 gal to 1oz/10 gal) will affect anything. I am keeping records so if I see anything I will post it.

Interesting comment - supplier problem meaning they can't meet the demand.

Then you mean SUPPLY problem. "Supplier problem" implies a problem getting the supplies in order to make FP3000, which is not the case.

I don't really think you can call it a supply problem either but whatever. It seems as though they are getting the orders out for their big contracts on time. Again, the consumer web orders are practically an insignificant percentage of sales for LCD.

Correct about Web sales. I stopped at the warehouse yesterday for another gallon each of FP-60 and LC-20.

Just received by order of FP3000.

My son drives about 100 miles a day while traveling to and from law school so we have some good base mpg numbers to compare.

His Ford Focus has been getting about 32 mpg using FP60 or Lucas (no difference between the two)

If that is so, then why did LCD gauge interest on this site and take pre-orders from this insignificant number of interested parties?

As an act of goodwill to our loyal web customers. We needed to guage interest to see if it was worth the time and effort.

To be honest our fleet and foreign customers allow us to even have the website and web orders. If it were not for these bulk orders LCD would not exist. Web sales are about 10% of our business.

It is quite obvious we jumped the gun on taking the preorders as we fully expected to ship in Nov, but delays beyond our control really backed everything up. Until we are able in have a larger amount of FP3000 available for gallon/quart web sales we are taking it off the website. Otherwise we would be in the continual pattern of running out of the product.

You are sure??? You have done calorimetry and know the lower heating value of FPxxxx??

I doubt it, and this is why I have fought this claim of FP since day 1 when mola's report came out.

Show me the data comapring its heating value to gasoline.

I am a loyal FP user, but not because of its supposed improement due to its energy density... and besdes, at the trat rate, it would have to have nearly infinite energy density to actually enhance that of the bulk fluid.

I like FP for its cleaning and lubricity capability. As such Ill likely only continue using FP60 (since its cheaper), though I just got my gallon of 3000...

Those two statements are clearly in conflict.

How so? If only 5 customers wanted to order then no we would not have done it.

We had quite a few customers interested so we tried our best to get some available to them as an act of goodwill. It is really not in the companies best interest to do it as we most likely lose money on the deal, but we wanted to show our loyal customers our appreciation.

What is the minimum number of gallons to make a "fleet batch"?

Maybe we can all somehow order a "BITOG Fleet" batch. Or if one of us BITOG members owns a fleet, he/she could buy a batch and sell off individual gallons jugs.
