Found some oil at work.............

hello everyone,i work at at a local transfer station and we had a HAZ-MAT day and a guy turned in about 30 cans (yes cans) of old oil never opened.old STP mobil and so on.my question is can i still use it? it says 10w-30-40-50 on the cans.never seen anything like that before.thanks again.this forum is the best by the way,learned a lot here.

The heck with using it. If the cans are in decent shape, e-bay them. I'd bet there is a can collector out there that would pay for them.

Use them in what? Your '50s beater truck...OK. Any modern engine...false economy. See the API service category SJ or SL or whatever on your oil filler cap? That's the minimum oil quality spec for that engine. This old oil don't qualify.

eBay sounds like the best idea.
