Found it. 2005 Buick LaCrosse

My in-laws had a Lucerne from that era. I really liked that car. Always thought that stiffer engine mounts to tighten up whatever crazy motions that thing did up there, and possibly stiffer suspension bushings would have yielded a serious contender for those of us who liked the tighter honda ride. The Lucerne was a great car. Oldsmobile aurora was probably much more dialed in to that feel. I would have liked to have tried an aurora.

Fresh oil and coolant. Transmission fluid is really good, but still going to change it when everything gets here.
Kids my son's age are weird (maybe I am the weird one). They all love it. He does too. I like it but as you all know not my thing (except for ease of maintenance, parts availability and relative reliability at this price point). Most of his friends don't drive, of the 15 I know of that he hangs out with ages 16 to 17 only 3 drive.

Clean underneath. For you rust belt folks. I am never moving back east.

At 17, I was driving a 1972 Chevrolet Impala 2 door Hard-top convertible.
It had a huge back seat……….yea, I loved that back seat 😜

Fixed it for you.

@ls1mike this car seems a perfect fit for you, no learning Lexus ins and outs, just GM goodness for your son and daughter. That is weird the teenagers like it but it will be a perfect teen stealth car with tinted windows.

Best A/C of all the cars I own, makes me kind of mad. LOL
My Lucerne has the best A/C of any vehicle I've ever owned. I was curious to see what temp it would get too. Most of the time it runs at 41-42F but I've seen it go as low as 39F a couple times.

My underneath looks good like yours, I think it has to do with older people not driving in bad weather. I did purchase mine from a dealer but looking up the previous owner it appears two sisters owned it that were in their upper 60's, they purchased it when it had 16k.

The good thing about where I live is maybe 1 snow storm a year in the low lands and no salt on the roads so all my stuff looks like that.

Nice car, especially for the price. Those 3800's are good engines. I had the Supercharged version in the 2004 Monte Carlo SS Dale Jr. edition I used to own. I bought it knowing the intake was leaking and got that fixed right after I bought it. I really liked the car but wanted a V8 and so traded it in on my 14 Mustang GT.
