I have always loved the looks of the Reatta. Although they are now 22 years old there are still some low mileage versions available. A low mileage Reatta convertible could be a great summer fun car for years to come. Great looks, V6 power, auto tranny, working A/C, and GM service available nation-wide. The engine is the nearly bullet proof Buick 3800 V6 and GM's auto boxes are trouble free with routine maintenance, but the all electronic dash has me concerned with longevity. Any one with Reatta experience? Thanks,

I like them too. I've never looked at Reatta digital instruments, but I've fixed similar units from other cars. I just resolder joints that look bad and replace charred components. Power resistors for vacuum fluorescent displays are usual suspects. Electrolytic capacitors as well.

I drove a hard top for a while and its a neat car! Best ride of any car that size I have ever been in. Definitely smoother than the Allante's. Never had any problems with the electronics. There is a nice looking convertible that I see every now and then around town here. If you can find one I'd say go for it!

So far I have found three within 150 miles. One is the Garage Queen of a Buick Dealership owner with under 4K miles - and a price that is correspondingly ridiculous. But the other two aren't unreasonable considering age, low miles, perfect condition, and rarity. I asked around today among some car collectors and their general comment was these cars have never developed a cult following; which means a low price for me but also a low price if I need to sell it too.
