Question what would be the forumula for how much zinc or phos a additive will add based off of know parts per million and volume.
From reading this they are stating it would take 4 15oz bottles of STP-4cly treatment with 3932ppm zinc to get SM rated oil thats already around 900ppm up to 1200ppm zinc.
Is that wrong or am I missing something? Just sent off a sample of the 4cly Reb bottle of STP to get a current level on it's addives but would like to know the correct forumla for getting SM oil of 900ppm up to 1200.
It seems with say 4000ppm in 15 oz and 34oz equals 1 quart of oil you should be adding about 400ppm zinc for 5qts oil. Or am I just wrong?
